If the driver has a passenger in the vehicle, coverage increases to a total of $1 million in liability. If the driver is in an accident while not logged into the Uber app and actively working for Uber, he or she will often have to rely on personal insurance coverage.

WHO IS LIABLE IF I AM HURT DRIVING FOR UBER?
Liability also depends heavily on how the accident occurs. If the accident is the fault of the Uber driver, he or she will most likely be held liable and have to rely on coverage from a policy offered by Uber.
