As for the most dangerous roadway conditions in Texas, the Texas Department of Transportation reported that out of the 543,537 car crashes that occurred in 2018:

• 450,489 occurred on dry roads.
• 81,290 occurred on wet roadways.
• 3,479 occurred on roadways with standing water.
• 3,181 occurred on icy roadways.
